Activities Block
The activities block provides quick links to all course / content areas. If your course does not show all of the links shown in the discussions to follow, don't worry. Each course will only display links to activities which are required in that particular course. For example, if a writing course does not have a system-graded quiz there will be now Quizzes link in this block.

Assignments
This link provides a listing of all assignments within the course and links to each. This is one spot you can submit your work as well as check on grades and progress in the course. Clicking on this link will bring up the following screen:
A detailed explanation of what each column contains as well as instructions on how to submit various types of assignments are covered later in this tutorial.
